OUR TEAM
Our staff is highly trained and qualified. All classes are taught by one teacher with a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood or Special Education and two paraprofessionals with Associate Degrees or CDAE (Child Development Associate Equivalency). In our programs, teachers are facilitators of learning rather than simply transmitters of knowledge.
WHAT MAKES US UNIQUE
-
5:1 child to teacher ratio.
-
Highly qualified teachers in all of our classrooms.
-
We foster self-expression and independence.
-
We focus on age appropriate practices: Individual education plans are developed for each child based on his or her strengths and weakness.
-
The High Scope curriculum is implemented in the classrooms: Children are encouraged to plan before their activities in order to develop critical thinking and problem solving skills. After each activity, children share their experiences with the group and respond to questions from teachers and peers. This practice develops the use of critical thinking and expands vocabulary.
-
Children are assessed twice per school year: Parent-teacher conferences are then held to discuss each child’s individual goals and progress.
-
We provide children with hands-on experiences: Through our enriched curriculum, we establish a strong foundation for future, successful learning, all in a safe and caring environment.
